Hey you... Ya, you...boy do I have something amazing to tell you about. Have you ever had that itch to make something, to be creative, to learn a new skill with your hands? And then you tossed the idea away because you didn't have the tools or the money to do it? Sheridan (ED of YFC Altona) has been working tirelessly on making a space for youth to be able to scratch that itch. Taking away the barriers for youth to make something, to be creative or to learn a new skill. We are calling it the Station Makerspace. It is full of tools and equipment for youth to make all sorts of fantastic things. And low and behold Sheridan has invited me to join the team to head up the Makerspace as Director of the Makerspace. Crazy, right? But it is right up my alley. 3D printing, laser cutting and engraving, a CNC router for wood, a paint room, a music room and a kitchen to make yummy treats, these are all joys of mine.

And the best part of this all is that the whole purpose is to develop relationships with the youth who come and through that relationship be able to share the Love of Jesus Christ with them. To talk with them about life and share how God has carried me through many trials just as many of these youth are facing more than their share of difficulties. it if giving hope and joy and a safe place to grow as a young person. It is altogether an awesome opportunity for the youth and for myself.

But wait, there is more, there is you. There is an awesome opportunity for you too. Firstly, thanks for hanging around here on my support page. Yup, you knew it was coming, the support ask. I need your support in prayer and in finances.  And if you have a creative passion and we think it would fit well with our Makerspace I am the guy to talk to. We are always looking for volunteers for regular Makerspace times or one-time creative events.

Anyways, the vision is pretty exciting. I hope it gets you as excited as it does me. I am starting at two days a week and if my support grows then there is room for my time to increase as well.
