At The Station we are lucky to have a team of awesome dedicated volunteers. Our volunteers freely give their time to enhance the lives of our communites youth. There is no such thing as too many volunteers, So if you would like to get involved at YFC Altona just contact us. We want you to be a part of our awesome team!

These are our current volunteers. No matter if you know them or not if you see them around town be sure to tell them how awesome they are! Because they are! And we appreciate everything they do for our areas youth.

Sheridan Sawatzky

Staff – Altona

Sheridan is one of our full time staff members. Married to his wife Cassondra (who is also a volunteer at The Station) and the proud parents of their two boys Deklyn and Flynn. In addition to being a husband and father, he enjoys working on his 1975 Datsun 280z, filmmaking, Jetski racing, and playing video games.  Want to know more about us and what we do at The Station? contact us! Marty Falk

Staff – Altona

Marty is one of the full time staff, being a veteran of the station he was a volunteer for more years than he can remember before becoming full time staff, newly married he enjoys spending time with his wife and three dogs and time with friends and family.  A collector of fine vintage art from MCC and vinyl records he is also on his way to becoming a full fledged hoarder.  want to know more about him, stop by and say hi or become a volunteer and learn from his years of experience either way you will make a new friend.

Tracy Jean Funk

Volunteer – Altona

Tracy Jean is one of our amazing Volunteers at the Station. She is always cheery and so fun to have around. Among other tasks Tracy Jean comes every Tuesday and assists with weekly cleaning services. She enjoys listening to music, getting together with friends, baking, and she also writes short stories. Tracy Jean has a contagious positive attitude, when you’re around her you can’t help but be happy too. Were blessed to have her a part of the Station family.

Marshall Wiebe

Volunteer – Altona
Marshall is one of our Thursday night volunteers. He also is an integral part of our gaming events that we host at The Station. He has an infectiously positive personality and is always a joy to be around. He’s an avid gamer, PC gaming as well as board and card games. And if you have any question’s about the Lord of the Rings or Hobbit series, he’s the guy to ask. He has been known to take in Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movie marathons. He has an awesome sense of humor and he’s a great part of The Station team. Let him know that what he’s doing at The Station is awesome!

Cassondra Sawatzky

Volunteer – Altona
Cassondra is one of our valued Monday night (Miss Mondays) volunteers. She has a passion for reaching the young girls of our community in a positive way. Besides being a dedicated volunteer at The Station, Cassondra is a dedicated Mother and wife. She is incredibly compassionate and caring and that care is proven in the way in which she helps and mentors the young ladies that come to The Station. She loves quality time with family and is definitely a Christmas super-fan. She is also a very talented photographer.

Zack Driedger

Volunteer – Altona
Zack is a volunteer on our Tuesday night drop-in nights. He has quickly become a big part of what we are doing at The Station. He works a GoldenWest Broadcasting as a morning show producer. He has an awesome personality and sense of humor. He has grown some great connections with our teens here and we love having him as part of our team. If you see Zack, let him know how awesome he is and he’s a great part of The Station’s ministry!

Tim Friesen

Volunteer – Altona
Tim volunteers on our Tuesday night drop-in. Tim works at Goldenwest in Altona. He has a passion for skateboarding and photography, and is an awesome addition to our team at The Station. He has quickly become a core person for our Tuesday nights. The teens value him being a here, and we are so Thankful to have him on our team. If you see him, tell him he’s doing an awesome job!

Bill Skelton

Volunteer – Altona
Bill is a volunteer on our Thursday nights. He has been a dedicated volunteer for quite some time and is a great addition to The Station’s ministry. He is unbelievably knowledgeable about almost anything with a motor. Which has made him the go-to guy for any of our teens who have any problem or question about their vehicles, motorcycles, snowmobiles etc. Besides being an awesome wealth of knowledge, he has a big heart and is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of our teens. Tell him he’s awesome because he is!

Brooklyn Reimer

Volunteer – Altona
Brooklyn volunteers on Mondays here at The Station. She has a passion for reaching the young girls of our community and help them with issues or struggles they may be facing. Through growing relationships and bonds with the girls, she is able to make a lasting impression on their lives. Brooklyn also works at CIBC in Altona. And enjoys days at the beach, getting together with friends and spending time with her family. We appreciate every way she is a part of The Stations ministry. Let her know you appreciate how she is making a positive impact on the teens of our community!

Dylan Reimer

Volunteer – Altona
Dylan volunteers on Fridays here at The Station. He’s always game for just about anything (which usually is some sort of game). Growing relationships and being a friend to every teen that comes through our doors. He enjoys racing Jet skis, building projects, hanging out with family and friends (and his dogs). He works at CO-OP Lumber in the kitchen cabinetry/ planning department. So if you got a project in mind go give him a visit, and thank him for his time at The Station!
